Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to identify speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders in children and adolescents

- Deliver engaging speech therapy sessions using evidence-based techniques suitable for pediatric populations
- Collaborate with educators, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams to support patient progress and ensure consistency across environments
- Utilize electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems for documentation, progress notes, and treatment updates
- Provide telehealth therapy sessions when appropriate, ensuring continuity of care through virtual platforms
- Educate families and caregivers on strategies to support communication development at home and in daily activities
Skills
- Proven experience working with children in school or clinical settings with a focus on pediatrics
- Strong knowledge of speech therapy techniques tailored for early intervention and developmental delays
- Familiarity with working with individuals with disabilities across various age groups, including geriatric patients when applicable
- Excellent patient care skills combined with the ability to assess communication needs accurately using physiology and anatomy knowledge
- Proficiency in medical terminology relevant to speech-language pathology and patient assessment procedures
- Experience with telehealth therapy platforms and remote service delivery models
