The Company:
Duerr Packaging Co. Inc, is a manufacturer of rigid paperboard boxes and thermoformed plastics. We are an independent, family operated business with many of our employees participating in long tenure. Founded in 1953, the company is well established in the industry, servicing customers in all states along with several foreign countries. The company operates two manufacturing plants featuring modern machinery -- one plant converting paperboard, the other plastics.
The Role: Production Machine Tender
As a production machine tender at Duerr Packaging, you will be responsible for the tending and operation of plastics converting machinery, in addition to other duties as called upon.
Responsibilities:
- Tend/Operate production machines
- Gather/Stack finished product and pack in corrugated carton
- Assist in other functions as required within the plant on an as needed basis
Requirements and Desired Experience:
- Self starter with a drive to learn and develop required
- Good, reliable attendance required
- Team player that works exceptionally well with others required
- Basic math skills a plus
- Must be capable of lifting up to 40 lbs and stacking finished cartons on pallet
- Previous production work experience preferred
