Lakeside House, Inc. is looking to hire a Samaritan House Manager/Homeless Shelter Manager/Social Services Manager for an 8 bed, homeless shelter located in Saranac Lake, NY.
Successful candidate will be able to:
1. Coordinate intakes and discharges with the county Department of Social Services offices.
2. Develop Independent Living Plans and review bi-weekly.
3. Connect clients with community resources including but not limited to employment, education, and mental health case management.
4. Assistance in applying for benefits.
5. Assistance in applying and securing permanent housing.
6. Community outreach.
7. Other duties as assigned by Executive Director
Job is 40 hours a week, Monday-Friday with one weekend per month on call. Full benefit package including health, dental and vison insurance as well as a Simple IRA plan and PTO package. and Employee Assistance Services.
Candidates would need to reside within 30 minutes from Saranac Lake for on-call duties.
Starting pay $22.50/hr.
Samaritan House Manager/Homeless Shelter Manager/Social Services Manager requirements Bachelor's degree in Human Services/Social Services or equivalent preferred but an associate degree with 5 years’ experience working with people experiencing life challenges will be considered.
