Overview:
The Children and Family Ministries Coordinator serves part-time to build relationships that will help children and families grow in faith. They will work alongside the Children and Youth Committee to help discern our vision for our Children and Family Ministry and bring that vision to life as we seek to grow in the coming years.
Qualifications and Characteristics:
- Passion for ministry with children and their families that spurs excitement and leads to growth.
- Experience in developing, implementing, and leading programs for children and their families.
- Effective communication skills.
- Works with authenticity and integrity.
- Love for Christ and familiarity with church life.
Responsibilities:
Sunday Mornings (9am-noon)
- Arrive early before worship to welcome families as they arrive.
- Lead Children’s Worship (bible story/craft/game) with preschool age children following the Children’s Moment in worship until worship concludes.
- Engage with children and their families during Coffee Hour following worship.
Weekly (2 hours total)
- Lead a Child & Parent Playtime on a weekday morning for children up to 5 years old (specific day/time TBD)
Monthly
- Attend the Children and Youth Committee’s monthly meeting.
- Meet with the pastor as needed to discuss programming and future plans for Children’s ministry.
Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
