Accounting Assistant

Scheurer Health, a critical access hospital, is seeking a part-time Accounting Assistant. The candidate will assist in the daily activities and responsibilities of the Finance office.
Position responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Assist in preparation of month end financial statements
-
Assist in entry of monthly journal entries
-
Assist in general ledger maintenance
-
Assist with annual preparation of audit work papers for both annual audits and cost reports

Reconcile bank statements
-
Assist in payroll preparation and distribution
Minimum Requirements
-
Associate’s degree in accounting or related field
-
1 year of experience using spreadsheet and word processing programs
