Duties
- Greet guests promptly with a friendly attitude, making them feel valued from the moment they arrive
- Answer phone calls with professionalism, providing information about wait times, reservations, and general inquiries
- Maintain organized waitlists and communicate wait times clearly to guests
- Assist with guest inquiries regarding menu items, specials, or restaurant policies
- Support food safety and sanitation standards by ensuring cleanliness of host station and waiting areas
Skills
- Proven experience as a host or hostess in a restaurant or food service environment
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Effective communication skills, including phone etiquette and clear verbal interaction
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining organization under pressure
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hospitality best practices
- Experience in guest relations and providing exceptional guest services
