Overview
Soiltech Environment is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Environmental Scientist or Geologist or Environmental Engineer to join our growing environmental consulting team in Orlando. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with a strong background in environmental assessment, remediation, and regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will have in-depth knowledge of Florida environmental regulations and a professional license (PG or PE) and will contribute to a wide range of land development and regulatory projects.
Responsibilities
- Perform Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESA).
- Perform Contamination Screening Evaluation Reports (CSER).
- Perform Phase II / Level 2 Environmental Site Assessments (ESA).
- Conduct environmental field investigations, including groundwater and soil sampling.
- Prepare technical reports, environmental assessments, and project documentation.
- Prepare proposals, project scopes, fee estimates, and cost proposals.
- Review technical reports for completeness, accuracy, and quality.
- Interpret environmental data and conduct research.
- Read and interpret project plans and specifications.
- Manage environmental projects from planning through completion.
- Interact with clients and provide technical support.
- Prepare marketing and presentation materials.
- Mentor junior scientists and review work performed by project team members.
- Support roadway environmental studies for transportation-related projects.
- Work from remote office locations as needed.
- Ensure projects are completed within established schedules and project constraints.
Your Expertise And Skills

- Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Geology, or Chemistry from an accredited four-year college or university.
- Preferred a Licensed PE or PG.
- 5+ years of office and field experience in environmental consulting.
- Experience preparing Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESA).
- Experience preparing Contamination Screening Evaluation Reports (CSER).
- Experience performing Phase II / Level 2 Environmental Site Assessments.
- Experience with roadway environmental studies preferred.
- Experience with project management, proposal preparation, and client interaction.
- Experience directing groundwater and soil sampling programs.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work within project schedules and deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Valid driver's license required.
- OSHA HAZWOPER 40-hour certification preferred or ability to obtain
