Superior Skilled Trades is seeking a Chemical Cleaning Technician for Immediate Hire in Astoria, New York.

- PAY: $19.00/hr. (based upon experience)
- HOURS: Expected shifts will be 8-hour days starting at 7:00 AM to 4:00
- PM
- SCHEDULE: Expected work will be Monday-Friday; approximately 40 hours/week
- START DATE: ASAP
- DURATION: This is anticipated to be a temp to hire position and could go permanent for the ideal candidate in 3-4 months
Job Description:
The Chemical Cleaning Technician is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and preventative servicing of cooling systems that support water treatment programs for HVAC and process water systems. Responsibilities include conducting water testing and analysis, monitoring pH levels and microbiological activity, maintaining automated chemical feed systems, and ensuring compliance with OSHA, EPA, and company safety procedures.
Qualifications for Chemical Cleaning Technician:
- Experience with industrial water treatment, HVAC systems, and mechanical maintenance
- Knowledge of cooling tower operations, water chemistry, and safe chemical handling procedures
- Experience with automated chemical feed systems is preferred
- OSHA training and certification is preferred
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Valid driver's license required
- Must be able to safely use hand and power tools and PPE
- Must be able to perform job duties that require standing, crouching, twisting, bending, climbing, and lifting up to 50 lbs. unassisted
Additional Requirements for Chemical Cleaning Technician:
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
- Must have reliable transportation to the job site
- Depending on assignment, applicants may be subject to pre-employment drug screen and background screening
