Duties
- Safely operate material handling equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, and RF scanners to load, unload, and transport goods within the warehouse
- Accurately pick items using order picker tools and barcode scanning technology to fulfill customer orders efficiently
- Pack products securely following packaging standards to ensure quality during transit
- Maintain inventory accuracy through regular stock checks and updates within warehouse management systems (WMS)
- Assist with shipping and receiving processes by verifying shipments against documentation and ensuring proper storage
- Support warehouse distribution activities by organizing stock, stocking shelves, and preparing shipments for dispatch
- Follow safety protocols diligently, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and manual handling techniques for heavy lifting
Requirements
- Prior experience in warehouse operations or distribution centers is highly preferred
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, barcode scanning for logistics, and inventory management systems
- Ability to operate heavy equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, and mechanical handling tools safely and effectively
- Strong manual handling skills with knowledge of proper lifting techniques to prevent injury
- Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying quantities accurately
- Excellent attention to detail for order picking, packing quality control, and inventory accuracy
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while adhering to safety standards
- Warehouse supervisor experience or familiarity with warehouse distribution processes is a plus
