Are you motivated by sales, enjoy helping people, and interested in developing the skills to eventually run your own business?
Farmers Insurance – Team Twin Cities is looking for motivated professionals to join our Protege Program, a 12-month paid training and mentorship program focused on developing sales, leadership, and business management skills.
You'll work alongside an experienced mentor while gaining practical experience in insurance sales, customer relationships, marketing, business operations, and agency management.
This is an opportunity to build a strong foundation in the insurance industry while exploring a potential path toward future agency ownership.

$1,000 per month in agency-provided leads

Paid Property & Casualty and Life & Health licensing

One-on-one mentorship from an experienced Farmers agent

Hands-on training in sales, marketing, and agency operations

Opportunity to broker outside Farmers when appropriate to meet customer needs

Throughout the program, you'll develop experience across several areas of the agency, including:

Sell auto, home, life, business, and specialty insurance products.

Work with agency-provided leads and referrals.

Build and manage customer relationships and your own book of business.

Learn how to identify customer needs and recommend appropriate insurance solutions.

Develop sales and marketing strategies to grow an insurance business.

Gain exposure to agency operations, finances, and business performance.

Work directly with your mentor to learn how a successful insurance agency operates.

Develop leadership, communication, sales, and business management skills.
Participants who successfully complete the program requirements and qualify to open their own Farmers agency may be eligible for additional benefits, including:

$100,000 capital requirement waiver

$4,000 graduation bonus

$5,000 new agent sign-on bonus

$6,000 exterior branding bonus

A current insurance license is not required to apply.
If you're not currently licensed, that's okay. We provide paid Property & Casualty and Life & Health licensing as part of the program, along with hands-on training and mentorship.
