Schedule: Approximately 20 hours per week (with potential for additional hours for the right person)
I'm looking for a caring, dependable, and energetic nanny to help care for my two children (ages 4 and 6) while I work from home. My primary need is Wednesdays from 9:00 AM–4:00 PM, with the remaining weekly hours being flexible and scheduled around the right candidate's availability.
What You'll Be Doing
This role is a combination of childcare, play, and light homeschool instruction. Your primary responsibility is keeping the kids engaged, active, and having fun while I work nearby.
Activities include:
- Outdoor play and active games
- Arts and crafts
- Reading together
- Preschool–1st grade language arts and math activities
- Creative learning through play
- Encouraging kindness, curiosity, and independence
All homeschool curriculum and school supplies will be provided.
Perks
- Approximately 20 hours per week, with the opportunity for more hours as our family's needs grow.
- A craft and activity allowance is available in addition to biweekly pay for a nanny who enjoys planning fun, engaging projects and activities for the kids.
- Flexible scheduling (outside of Wednesdays).
- Relaxed work environment with a parent working from home.
We're Looking For Someone Who:
- Loves working with young children.
- Has a positive, upbeat attitude.
- Is patient and able to remain calm during the occasional child meltdown.
- Has good personal hygiene.
- Is reliable, trustworthy, and communicates well.
- Has no criminal history (background check may be required).
- Is comfortable working in a Christian home. You do not have to share our faith, but you do need to be respectful of our family's Christian values and homeschooling environment.
- Is comfortable around animals. We have dogs, cats, Nigerian Dwarf goats, chickens, and one very friendly turkey, so you should enjoy being around animals and not have pet or livestock allergies that would interfere with the job.
- Has experience with children or early childhood education (preferred but not required).
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with homeschooling, preschool, or elementary education.
- Enjoys planning crafts, sensory activities, or outdoor adventures.
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
If you're someone who enjoys creating a fun, nurturing environment where kids can learn through play while helping a work-from-home parent, I'd love to hear from you! Please send me a message with a little about yourself, your childcare experience, your availability, references, and why you'd be a great fit for our family.
