A steel fabricator in Akron, Ohio seeks a full-time fabricator/fitter/welder.
The company provides structural steel items that are used in the construction industry as well as stair & handrail systems. Primary job focus is layout, fabrication, fit & weld from blueprints and shop drawings.
Required Experience:
Prefer prior experience in steel fabricating and welding:
- Knowledge of layout, fabrication, fitting and welding.
- Material used includes carbon steel, aluminum, and stainless.
Ability to read, interpret, and work with blueprints, shop drawings and sketches.
Good math skills needed.
Ability to use standard shop fabrication and welding equipment.
Must be certified to AWS D1.1.
Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
A positive, teachable attitude and good work ethic are extremely important.

This position follows a four-day workweek, with ten-hour shifts each day. M-Th 6:00 am to 4:30 pm.
Candidates must successfully pass a drug screening.
90 day review.
