- Handle cash and credit transactions, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
- Assist customers with product inquiries, providing knowledgeable information about store offerings.
- Promote sales through effective upselling techniques and product recommendations.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, ensuring all stock is replenished as needed.
- Address customer concerns or complaints with professionalism and courtesy, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve store goals and maintain high standards of customer service.
Experience
- Previous experience in a grocery store or retail environment is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on creating positive interactions.
- Familiarity with cash handling processes and experience using POS systems is advantageous.
- Excellent phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries over the phone.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail in all tasks.
