Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Office Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills and have a passion for providing excellent customer service.
This role involves assisting with clerical tasks and ensuring the smooth functioning of office activities. The Office Assistant will be responsible for supporting various departments while maintaining a professional and welcoming environment.
While this role is primary responsibilities are within the office, occasional assistance with customers in our store front or over the phone may be needed.
Responsibilities
- Answer the phone and greet customers and vendors with a friendly demeanor.
- Direct calls using multi-line phone systems, ensuring effective communication.
- Perform data entry, filing, and document management to keep the office organized.
- Assist with calendar management and scheduling appointments for staff and Owner.
- Provide customer support by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Utilize Google Workspace for creating documents, spreadsheets, and record keeping.
- Maintain accurate records through bookkeeping and basic accounting tasks.
- Proofread documents to ensure accuracy and professionalism in all communications.
- Collaborate with team members on various administrative projects as needed.
- Uphold confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
- Assist uploading items onto selling platforms such as but not limited to: eBay, Walmart, Amazon
- Assists taking images of inventory
- Any other tasks assigned by owner and/or manager.
Requirements
- Previous office experience is preferred, with a focus on administrative roles.
- Strong computer skills including proficiency in Google Workspace.
- Familiarity with Accounts payable and receivable.
- Familiarity with Excel or Google Sheets
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply to enhance customer communication.
- Strong typing skills with attention to detail for accurate data entry and proofreading.
- Experience in customer service or support roles is highly valued.
- Time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Personal assistant experience is a plus for managing executive-level tasks.
- Experience with plumbing material is beneficial but not required.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
