Greenfish Cafeteria, located in Stanford University’s Clark Center, is open to the public and offers a wide variety of cuisines crafted by specialty chefs. Along with daily dining, we provide full-service catering for campus events, conferences, and receptions, serving groups of 20 to 2,000 with exceptional care and hospitality. Our mission is to deliver high-quality, thoughtfully prepared meals that celebrate and reflect the diversity of the Stanford community.
Position Overview
We’re looking for reliable, motivated, and passionate individuals to join our campus culinary team as Line Cooks, Prep Cooks, and Dishwashers.
Each role plays an essential part in delivering high-quality food and maintaining the smooth operation of our kitchen. We’re not just looking for workers — we’re looking for people who take pride in their craft and want to grow with us.
The ideal candidate is someone who loves cooking, brings a positive attitude, and has an interest or specialty in creating delicious dishes. Whether you’re just starting out or already experienced, we believe in helping our team members develop into skilled chefs who can one day create and showcase their own recipes on our menu.

Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to standardized recipes and portion guidelines
- Set up and maintain assigned stations before, during, and after service
- Ensure all dishes are prepared with consistency, quality, and presentation in mind
- Follow all food safety and sanitation standards, including proper storage and labeling
- Assist with prep work, restocking, and receiving inventory as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment at all times
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service
- Support catering or special campus events as assigned
Qualifications
- 2-3+ years of experience as a line cook, prep cook, or in a similar kitchen role
- Strong understanding of basic cooking techniques and food safety procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume kitchen environment
- Fluency in English
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends
Working Hours
8am - 3pm
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
