About the Job
The Procurement Manager provides enterprise-wide leadership and drives procurement excellence, supplier performance, cost optimization, and cross-functional alignment across operations, maintenance, engineering, and finance.
- Lead procurement activities across multiple company locations, ensuring effective execution of purchasing strategies and processes.
- Develop and maintain strategic supplier relationships that support cost, quality, delivery, and business continuity objectives.
- Oversee the full purchase order lifecycle, including requisitions, sourcing, order placement, expediting, and closeout activities.
- Manage, coach, and develop procurement team members while building organizational procurement capabilities and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, contracts, and company guidelines.
- Support sourcing initiatives through supplier evaluations, bid processes, contract negotiations, and category management activities.
- Partner with inventory management and operations teams to optimize inventory strategies, supplier performance, and total cost of ownership.
- Drive continuous improvement through KPI management, process optimization, ERP system utilization, and cross-functional collaboration.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in supply chain, procurement, contract management, and supplier negotiations.
- 3+ years of people leadership experience with demonstrated performance management responsibilities.
- Experience working with purchasing, inventory management, accounts payable, or ERP systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to translate strategic objectives into actionable operational plans and measurable results.
- Working knowledge of procurement best practices, inventory management principles, and supplier relationship management.
- Experience developing, monitoring, and reporting key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Knowledge of procurement policies, contract review processes, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience developing department procedures, driving process improvements, and leading cross-functional initiatives.
- High emotional intelligence with the ability to manage competing priorities and navigate complex business relationships.
