About First Doctors Weight Loss
First Doctors Weight Loss is a physician-led, cash-pay medical weight loss practice committed to delivering individualized, evidence-based care. We conduct telemedicine consultations with patients across Georgia — operating out of our three brick-and-mortar offices in Douglasville, Hiram, and Rome. We prescribe FDA-approved medications including semaglutide and tirzepatide, and build lasting patient relationships grounded in accountability and compassion. We are not a diet program. We are a medical practice — and we treat weight as the medical condition it is.
The Role We are seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner to join our clinical team at one of our three Georgia offices (Douglasville, Hiram, or Rome). You will be office-based and conduct telemedicine consultations with weight loss patients from a dedicated clinical workspace. You will evaluate patients for treatment candidacy, develop individualized plans, prescribe medications, and provide ongoing support — all via live video from your assigned office. This is a rare opportunity to practice meaningful, relationship-based medicine in a focused, single-specialty environment.
Responsibilities:
Conduct telemedicine consultations with new and established weight loss patients from your assigned office. Perform health history reviews and assess patient eligibility for medical weight loss treatment. Prescribe and manage FDA-approved weight loss medications, including GLP-1 receptor agonists (semaglutide, tirzepatide). Counsel patients on eating habits, exercise, behavioral strategies, and long-term weight management. Provide ongoing positive reinforcement, accountability, and motivational support at each virtual visit. Thoroughly document all patient interactions in accordance with HIPAA and applicable telehealth regulations. Communicate notable clinical events or patient concerns to the supervising physician in a timely manner. Engage professionally and empathetically with a diverse remote patient population across all age groups and backgrounds.
Requirements:
Active, unrestricted NP license in the state of Georgia and DEA license. Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited program. Experience in primary care, internal medicine, endocrinology, or weight management preferred. Comfort with telemedicine platforms and video-based patient care — prior telehealth experience a plus. Working knowledge of GLP-1 medications and medical weight loss protocols strongly preferred.
English — Bilingual fluency in Spanish a Plus, but not required. You must communicate clinical information clearly and compassionately.
Ability to exercise sound independent clinical judgment while operating within collaborative care guidelines. Demonstrated ability to maintain strict patient confidentiality. Must be able to reliably report to your assigned office location (Douglasville, Hiram, or Rome).
