Duties
- Carefully make beds to hotel standards, ensuring linens are smooth, pillows are arranged neatly, and the overall appearance is pristine
- Change bed linens and replace used towels and amenities in accordance with established protocols
- Maintain cleanliness of guest rooms by dusting, vacuuming floors, and tidying furniture surfaces
- Assist with light cleaning tasks such as vacuuming floors, cleaning bathroom surfaces, and removing trash to uphold overall room hygiene
- Report any maintenance issues or damages observed during bed making or cleaning to the appropriate department
- Follow safety and sanitation procedures diligently to ensure a hygienic environment for guests and staff
- Support other housekeeping staff during busy periods by assisting with additional cleaning or room preparation tasks
Skills
- Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or hospitality housekeeping roles, preferably within hotels or similar environments
- Strong knowledge of floor care techniques including vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and carpet maintenance
- Familiarity with hotel standards for bed making and room presentation
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness and organization
- Ability to work efficiently independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Good physical stamina to stand for extended periods, bend, lift linens, and perform repetitive tasks comfortably
- Prior custodial or industrial cleaning experience is a plus, along with housekeeping management skills for supervisory roles
