Peer Recovery Specialist- Crisis Response Services (CRS)-Mansfield, CT
Description:
United Services has an exciting opportunity for a Peer Recovery Specialist for the CRS Program. The right candidate will be part of a collaborative team, coordinating care with providers and case managers to meet individuals where they are and enhance their recovery and wellness. The Peer Recovery Specialist will bring the peer perspective and experience to support and inspire others to achieve person-driven and self-defined achievable goals. Critical functions of the job include assisting in follow-up with medical care, promoting involvement with wellness and health promotion activities, including self-help, and modeling successful recovery strategies.
Location: 140 North Frontage Road, Mansfield, CT 06250
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Minimum Requirements: Associates Degree or High School Diploma/equivalent plus two years relevant experience required.
Certification: Must have a Certified Peer Support and Recovery Professional Credential (CPSRP) upon hire or be able to obtain this within one year of employment.
If you do not have the Certified Peer Support and Recovery Professional Credential you will need to be certified as a Recovery Support Specialist and Recovery Coach through Advocacy Unlimited (AU) or Connecticut Community for Addiction Recovery (CCAR) or Hartford Healthcare (HHC) or from a DMHAS Approved Training Organization.
United Services will provide the opportunity to obtain this certification while employed.
Reliable transportation and ability to transport clients in own car is a must. Mileage reimbursement is provided.
Hourly Pay Range: $17.27 - $19.54 (depending on experience)
Bilingual Spanish/English fluency: $18.14 - $20.53 (depending on experience)
