The Floridian Club is committed to providing an exceptional hospitality experience in a welcoming and service-focused environment. We are looking for a seasonal Line Cook who would thrive in a hospitality/culinary environment and be highly focused on providing superior service to members and guests while maintaining an innovative and creative environment.

The Line Cook job opportunity is a temporary, full-time seasonal position. The start date is October 1, 2026, with May 31, 2027, as the end date.

Job Duties include:

Using different equipment and utensils, cook, grill, and prepare various food products, including meats, seafood, poultry, and vegetables, according to the Club's recipes and customers'
requests.
Perform preparation tasks, such as making sandwiches, carving meats, and making soups or salads.
Coordinate and time orders with other kitchen operations to finish food items simultaneously.
Sets up, maintains, and breaks down the cooking station.
Ensure that assigned work areas and equipment are clean and sanitary.
Cover, date, and neatly store all reusable leftover products and place items in coolers.
Combine measured ingredients in bowls of mixing, blending, or cooking machinery.
Place dough in pans, molds, or sheets and bake in production ovens or grills.
Set time and speed controls for mixing machines, blending machines, or steam kettles so that ingredients are mixed or cooked according to instructions.
Be able to cook, bake, and decorate savory and sweet foods in a professional kitchen environment.
The employee must regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and move 25 to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision,
peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or
feel; talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, and crouch. The employee is frequently exposed to heat, steam, and fire.

Typical shifts are 7:00 a.m. - 3 p.m., 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., 1:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m., or 3:00 p.m. - 10:00p.m., Monday through Sunday.
The specific days and hours of work will vary depending on scheduling and business level. Must be able to work all shifts. The business is open seven days per week, and weekend and holiday work will be required. Overtime may be available. On the job training is not provided.
Travel not required. The hourly wage range is $18.24 - $23.00/hr. ($27.36 to $34.50/hr. O.T.). Employer guarantees a wage equal to or higher than the prevailing wage rate of $19.88 per hour, paid weekly for any given workweek. Overtime may be available and guaranteed at no less than $29.82 per hour (time and one half the regular rate of $19.88 per hour for hours worked over forty (40) in a workweek - Monday through Sunday). This job order, including its wage and working terms and conditions, is contingent upon prevailing legal interpretations of federal H-2B immigration and FLSA employment law, including Department of Labor and Department of Homeland Security regulations. If any prevailing law is rescinded, superseded, vacated, or substantially modified, the employer will revise any affected term accordingly. A single workweek will be used to compute wages due. The employer will make deductions from the workers’ paycheck required by law. Raises and bonuses are available based on performance or length of service with the employer. Free employee meal provided while on duty. Employees may be provided with uniforms, as well as offered medical and vision benefits, along with the option to participate in Company's Retirement Savings Plan 401(k). Optional shared employee housing is available for workers relocating to begin employment. If accepted, the cost of housing is $650 per month plus an additional up-front security deposit of $300. The total cost of housing will be deducted from the paycheck on a weekly basis. The full security deposit will be retained by the employer if the employee leaves their position—whether with or without notice—before the end of the contract term, to help offset missed rent, as agreed in the lease agreement. The security deposit will be retained, and additional deductions may be made from wages if necessary to cover the cost of excessive damage to company property. Deductions will be taken from wages for unreturned uniforms, a $50 bank return fee for invalid bank accounts or inactivated debit cards, ; as well as other miscellaneous payroll items such as lost or damaged company property such as bike rentals or lost keys. If benefits are elected, employees will have premium deductions for medical and vision, and for401(k) plan contributions. Applicable sales tax (6%), local sales tax surcharge (0.5%), and tourism development tax (5%) will be applied to leases in under six months as required by law. Occasionally, payroll corrections may be necessary to address overpayments, which could result in corresponding deductions.
The use of company housing is not a condition of employment. The employer will make deductions from the worker’s paycheck required by law.
Daily transportation to and from the worksite is provided at no charge to workers who elect to stay at the optional assisted housing only. All other employees are responsible for their own transportation to and from the worksite. Transportation is provided to all workers to and from the airport upon arrival and their respective housing units at no charge.
If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, the employer will pay directly for/or reimburse the worker for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for the worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The employer will pay directly and/or reimburse workers for all inbound transportation and subsistence costs within the first workweek. The employer will pay directly for and/or reimburse workers for all outbound transportation and subsistence costs within the last workweek. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will equal the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $16.28 per day during travel to a maximum of $68.00 per day withreceipts.H-2B workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (excluding passport fees) incurred by the worker. The employer will provide workers at no charge with all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job. Travel is not required. If required by prevailing law, the employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period.
