Automotive Service Advisor / Writer
Watson Benzie Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram is looking for a friendly, organized, and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor / Writer to join our team.
As a Service Advisor, you will be the primary connection between our customers and service technicians. You will guide customers through the repair and maintenance process, clearly explain recommended services, provide accurate estimates, and keep customers informed throughout their visit.
Automotive service experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to excellent customer service are essential.
Responsibilities
- Schedule service appointments and answer customer inquiries.
- Greet customers promptly and professionally.
- Gather accurate customer, vehicle, and service information.
- Clearly document vehicle concerns on repair orders.
- Review vehicle service history and recommend needed maintenance or repairs.
- Prepare accurate estimates for labor and parts.
- Set realistic completion times and communicate them to customers.
- Obtain customer approval before additional work is performed.
- Monitor repair progress and provide customers with timely updates.
- Review completed repair orders for accuracy and proper authorization.
- Explain completed repairs, recommendations, and charges to customers.
- Maintain high customer satisfaction standards.
- Work closely with technicians, parts personnel, and service management.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work area.
Qualifications
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Professional appearance and positive attitude.
- Basic computer and data-entry skills.
- Ability to explain technical information clearly and professionally.
- Automotive service experience is preferred but not required.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
