The Fiscal Agent Operations unit is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operational functions that support the administration of Colorado’s Medicaid and Child Health Plan Plus (CHP+) programs. A core component of this work includes supporting all provider activities, such as provider enrollment, claim submission, communications, call center operations, and training. By maintaining these functions, the unit ensures providers receive accurate information, timely assistance, and streamlined access to participate in the program.We are onboarding new employees using a hybrid approach. The Department supports flexible work arrangements. Depending on the business need and description of the position, we have options that range from hybrid, to full-time in the office. Specific discussions about the schedule will be discussed during the offer stage. **Please note - equipment provisioning and certain onboarding tasks will take place in person, in our downtown Denver office, on the first day of employment.**
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING AS COMMUNICATIONS COORDINATOR: Draft, edit, and finalize provider communications including newsletters, bulletins, web postings, and memoranda;Review and approve content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and alignment with Department policies and messaging;Apply AP style and the Department’s style guide to maintain consistency and quality across all communications;Translate complex policy, regulatory, and technical information into clear, provider-friendly language;Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather, verify, and refine content for publication and training;Coordinate the development and distribution of provider communication materials;Assist with the creation and maintenance of training materials and supporting documentation;Update and maintain web content to ensure information is current, accurate, and accessible;Ensure communications meet ADA accessibility standards;Track and manage communication assignments and deadlines to support timely delivery;Manage deliverables and approvals with the core MMIS vendor;Participate in delivering live instructor led training presentations and answering live complex questions during those training sessions;Review and analyze provider issues related to claims, eligibility, provider enrollment, and financial processes;Research and resolve inquiries using the Colorado Medicaid Management System (MMIS) and other applicable tools;Interpret and apply Medicaid policies, regulations, and billing practices to ensure accurate issue resolution;Other Duties as Assigned.
