Baton Rouge Ochsner Discovery Health Sciences Academy (BROD) is a newly authorized Type 2 Charter that is part of the Discovery Schools Charter Management Organization. We are excited to bring Discovery education to the Baton Rouge area through our second corporate partnership with Ochsner Health. The school opened for the 2023-24 school year, starting with grades PreK4 - 4th and will eventually educate students in grades PreK - 8th at full capacity.
Baton Rouge Ochsner Discovery Health Sciences Academy is seeking an experienced instructional leader to serve as our Division Head (3rd–4th Grade) and Educational Technology Coordinator. This hybrid role supports high‑quality teaching, drives student achievement, and leads the integration of instructional technology across classrooms.
Lead teaching and learning for 3rd–4th grade and support implementation of Louisiana State Standards.
Coach, observe, and develop teachers; deliver targeted professional development.
Collaborate with grade‑level and content teams to strengthen instruction and meet academic goals.
Support teachers in integrating technology, digital tools, and learning platforms into instruction.
Provide training and ongoing support in Google Apps for Education and other educational technology tools.
Promote innovative, student‑centered instructional practices and maintain a positive school climate.
5+ years of classroom teaching experience
Valid teaching license
Strong instructional expertise and leadership experience
Knowledge of Louisiana State Standards and state testing
Strong communication, collaboration, and problem‑solving skills
Master’s Degree in Educational Technology, Educational Leadership, Curriculum & Instruction, or related field
Experience in high‑performing or at‑risk school settings
Familiarity with ISTE Standards
Educational Leader Certification
