Job Summary
The newly built Viewpoint eatery and bar at the Hotel Indigo is looking for passionate and hospitality driven professionals for multiple positions in our restaurant. Servers both full time and part time for breakfast and dinner shifts. come join a team dedicated to true hospitality!
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using Silverware POS
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Serve food and drinks promptly while adhering to proper food handling and sanitation standards
- Assist with bussing tables, setting up dining areas, and maintaining cleanliness of service stations
- Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments using cashiering systems
- Address guest inquiries promptly, ensuring guest relations are positive and memorable
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and resolve any service issues efficiently
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, daily specials, and restaurant policies to provide accurate information to guests
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments; fine dining experience is a plus
- Proficiency with POS system such as Silverware
- Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on guest relations and hospitality
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Ability to upsell menu items effectively to enhance guest satisfaction and sales
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Experience with food preparation or kitchen operations is advantageous but not required
- Ability to work flexible hours including mornings and evenings
