Duties Performed in the Usual Course of the Job
Seventy-five percent teaching, twenty-five percent research appointment with service activities required for promotion, merit-based pay raise, and tenure. Ability to teach traditional and online courses is expected.
Desired areas of interest include construction documentation, cost estimating, scheduling, surveying, project management, construction materials, or other subjects related to residential, commercial, and industrial construction.
Educational Requirements for the Position
An earned Doctorate degree in Construction Management/Engineering/ Science/Technology, Building Construction/Science, Civil Engineering/Technology with construction emphasis, Architectural Engineering with construction emphasis, or other closely related fields. Candidates in the above fields with ABD will also be considered.
Experience Required for the Position
Excellent communication skills are required. Applicant must have a strong commitment to undergraduate education and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Other Requirements for the Position
The successful applicant will contribute to our growing undergraduate research program. The
applicant is expected to help with improving the Construction Management program including further development of lab and teaching resources, curriculum development, and application for
ABET.
