iDrive Auto Parts is seeking a skilled and safety-focused Skidsteer / Forklift Operator & Parts Inventory Specialist to join our growing team. This position plays a critical role in warehouse logistics, heavy parts inventory management, and order fulfillment.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating skidsteers, Bobcats, and multidirectional forklifts and be comfortable working in both indoor and outdoor environments year-round. This role requires precision, organization, and teamwork to ensure heavy automotive components are safely stocked, scanned, stored, and delivered to the appropriate departments when sold.
Key Responsibilities
Heavy Machinery Operation
- Operate Skidsteer / Bobcat to move heavy automotive parts throughout the facility.
- Operate multidirectional forklift to stock parts safely onto warehouse shelving.
- Transport engines, transmissions, transfer cases, carriers, truck beds, and other heavy components.
Inventory Stocking & Organization
- Stock and restock heavy drivetrain and body components into assigned shelf locations.
- Scan all parts into the inventory system using barcode / RF scanners.
- Ensure accurate part placement and inventory tracking within the warehouse management system.
Order Fulfillment
- Pull sold parts from warehouse shelving.
- Transport parts safely to the designated sold / shipping area.
- Coordinate with sales and shipping teams to ensure timely order processing.
Fluid & Environmental Safety
- Inspect parts for oil or fluid leaks prior to stocking.
- Ensure all parts are drained, contained, and stored according to environmental standards.
- Maintain a clean and hazard-free work environment.
Equipment Maintenance
- Complete and maintain daily machinery inspection checklists.
- Report mechanical or safety issues immediately.
- Operate all equipment in compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
Warehouse & Production Support
- Assist with pulling smaller warehouse parts when needed.
- Help remove (“unbolt”) dismantled parts from vehicles.
- Support dismantling, production, and logistics teams as assigned.
Work Environment
- Indoor & outdoor position.
- Exposure to all weather conditions.
- Fast-paced automotive recycling and warehouse setting.
- Requires walking, lifting, climbing, and operating machinery daily.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Proven experience in warehouse distribution, order picking, or materials handling roles.
- Prior experience operating Skidsteer / Bobcat (Required).
- Experience operating a multidirectional forklift (Preferred).
- Valid forklift certification preferred.
- Experience with cranes, clamp trucks, or other heavy equipment is a plus.
- Strong mechanical knowledge, especially related to automotive parts.
- Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Experience using RF scanners / barcode scanners for inventory management and order processing.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to heavy equipment and warehouse operations.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently for extended periods.
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and safety.
- Construction or shipping & receiving experience is a plus.
- Prior warehouse supervisor or leadership experience is advantageous but not required.
- Valid driver’s license preferred.
