General: Assist in furthering the Mission of the Company. This role is responsible for driving sales growth, developing customer relationships, and supporting strategic sales initiatives. Depending on experience, candidates may operate in an individual contributor capacity or take on broader sales leadership and coordination responsibilities.
Core Responsibilities:
· Achieve sales goals for the company’s products, services, and systems while managing selling expenses
· Develop and maintain strong customer relationships across all levels (“boardroom to engine room”)
· Conduct sales calls, product demonstrations, and presentations
· Identify opportunities and maintain accurate reporting of sales activity, forecasts, and objectives
· Assist in bids, quotes, and pricing strategies
· Support marketing efforts, including promotions and advertising
· Report on customer satisfaction and identify areas for improvement
· Generate ideas for new products, services, and sales approaches
· Support education and training initiatives for customers and internal teams
· Assist with budgeting requirements
· Operate in alignment with Company management theory and guiding principles
Candidates with management experience may also:
· Coordinate and lead overall sales efforts and strategy across markets or territories
· Develop and manage sales forecasts and market segment plans
· Oversee maintenance contract administration
· Mentor and support sales team members
· Contribute to strategic planning and product/service development decisions
· Monitor performance metrics and guide system improvements
· Represent sales in cross-functional leadership discussions
Qualifications:
Required
· Understanding and adoption of Company management theory
· Familiarity with the Theory of Profound Knowledge (Dr. W. Edwards Deming)
· Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
· Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team
· Proficiency with personal computers and relevant software
Technical / Sales Skills
· Ability to communicate both technical details and business value of products and systems
· Experience with sales processes, customer relationship management, and territory planning
· Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and presentation skills
Preferred:
· Experience coordinating or managing sales teams or initiatives
· Experience developing sales forecasts and strategic plans
· Knowledge of EMD, Woodward equipment, and Company products/services
· Ability to work independently and manage priorities with minimal supervision
Pay: $78,000.00 - $164,000.00 per year
