Job Title:
Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, repair, and test fire alarm system components
(e.g., panels, audible/visual alarms, pull stations, detectors).
- Analyze blueprints, schematics, and drawings for efficient system installations.
- Coordinate with Project Managers and other trades to complete projects efficiently.
- Diagnoses and troubleshoots electrical problems in systems.
- Inform personnel about procedures and work order status.
- Inspect fire alarm systems, recommend preventive maintenance, and identify necessary
repairs.
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:
- 1-2 years of experience in electronics and basic electric circuit
troubleshooting (working knowledge of Ohm's law).
- Proficient in using an electronic multi-meter
for open circuits, short circuits, and ground fault troubleshooting.
- Strong electronics and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Capable of climbing ladders and carrying a 50+ pound backpack unassisted.
- Must pass a background check.
- Valid driver's license in good standing.
- Must be legally authorized for employment in the United States
- NICET Certification.
- FASA BASA Certification.
- 2-5 years of experience as a technician supporting fire solutions projects.
- Field experience in a solutions or construction-based business.
