Orthopedic Physician Assistant

Position Overview
We are seeking a Physician Assistant to join an established orthopedic practice in Loganville, GA. This is an excellent opportunity for a PA who enjoys a dynamic clinical environment and wants to work closely with orthopedic physicians and a multidisciplinary care team.
The position offers exposure to a broad range of orthopedic care and may involve supporting patients across different clinical settings. The ideal candidate is adaptable, team-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced specialty environment. Previous orthopedic experience is preferred, but motivated PAs with a strong interest in orthopedics are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients presenting with orthopedic injuries, conditions, and concerns
- Obtain comprehensive medical histories and perform physical examinations
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with orthopedic physicians
- Manage follow-up visits and monitor patient progress
- Perform office-based procedures including injections, splinting, and casting
- Review diagnostic imaging and other clinical information as appropriate
- Assist with orthopedic procedures and surgical cases when needed
- Provide preoperative and postoperative patient care
- Support the evaluation and treatment of patients with urgent orthopedic needs
- Provide patient education regarding diagnoses, treatment options, medications, and recovery
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
- Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other members of the care team
- Adapt to changing patient volumes, clinical priorities, and coverage needs
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Current Georgia Physician Assistant license
- NCCPA certification
- Current BLS certification
- ACLS certification may be required based on assigned responsibilities
- Orthopedic experience preferred, but not required
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a collaborative team
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced orthopedic environment
- Flexibility to support different clinical needs and care settings
Work Environment & Schedule
- Full-time opportunity within a busy orthopedic practice
- Combination of outpatient orthopedic care and other clinical responsibilities
- May provide support in clinic, hospital-based, procedural, and urgent-care settings
- Evening coverage may be part of the regular schedule
- Participation in a rotating call schedule may be required
- Weekend coverage may be required on a rotating basis
- Schedule may vary based on patient needs, provider coverage, and practice operations
- Flexibility and willingness to support the team across different clinical settings are important
