Position Summary
A well-established and growing organization in the mechanical/services industry is seeking experienced and strategic Operations Manager to lead and oversee company-wide operations across all divisions. This executive leadership role is responsible for driving operational excellence, profitability, workforce performance, process improvement, and long-term organizational growth. The Operations Manager will work closely with executive leadership to align operational strategy with company goals while ensuring exceptional service delivery, employee development, safety compliance, and financial performance. YOU MUST HAVE 3 plus years of HVAC expereince.
Key Responsibilities Operational Leadership
- Lead and oversee daily operations across all business units and departments
- Develop and execute operational strategies that support organizational growth and efficiency
- Establish and monitor KPIs, productivity metrics, and operational performance standards
- Ensure consistency in processes, communication, and execution throughout the organization
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and profitability
Leadership & Team Development
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and accountability to department managers and leadership teams
- Foster a high-performance culture focused on professionalism, collaboration, and results
- Partner with Human Resources on workforce planning, recruiting, retention, and leadership development initiatives
- Support succession planning and long-term organizational development
Financial & Strategic Oversight
- Collaborate with executive and financial leadership on budgeting, forecasting, labor management, and cost-control strategies
- Monitor operational profitability and identify opportunities for margin improvement
- Participate in strategic planning and organizational decision-making
- Support growth initiatives, operational scalability, and long-term business planning
Safety & Compliance
- Champion a strong safety-first culture throughout the organization
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company policies, and industry standards
- Oversee operational risk management and compliance procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Construction Management, Operations, or related field preferred
- 7+ years of progressive leadership experience in operations management
- Strong background in construction, mechanical services, HVAC, plumbing, or related trades preferred
- Proven experience leading multi-department operations and large teams
- Strong financial acumen, analytical skills, and strategic planning capabilities
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Experience implementing operational systems, SOPs, and performance metrics

- Strong understanding of field operations and service management
- Ability to lead organizational change and support scalable growth
- Experience with ERP systems and operational management software

Pay: $175,000.00 - $210,000.00 per year
