Reporting to the Executive Vice PresidentChief Development Officer, the Senior Director of Major Gifts provides strategic leadership and daytoday management for United Way's three premier affinitybased major donor programs: Tocqueville Society, Bridges Society and Women United. This role is responsible for the growth, direction, and performance of these critical major gift programs, overseeing highlevel donor engagement strategies, volunteer leadership, and frontline fundraising staff.
The Director builds and manages a personal portfolio of major donors and prospects while leading development officers and volunteers to achieve ambitious fundraising and membership goals. This individual plays a critical role in expanding United Way's major donor base and strengthening longterm philanthropic relationships across the region.
A bachelor's degree, eight to ten years of successful individual and/or major gifts fundraising and demonstrated experience managing staff and volunteer leaders is required. Experience directing and leading affinity-based, leadership-level or major donors' programs and progressive development nonprofit or mission-driven organization experience is preferred. An equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered in lieu of education.
Annual Salary
Pay Grade 111
Salary Range - $83,018 – $97,644
