Position Overview
Family Cycle Works (FCW) is seeking bike shop triple threats, bike enthusiast polymaths, multipotentialites, and the like to join our team. These applicants are able to fluidly step into service writing, sales, and administrative roles as a leader in the execution of FCW’s vision to be Milwaukee's most beloved bike shop. They know that the journey ahead is fraught with challenge but charge ahead in the name of glory and fame.
Key Responsibilities
- All the responsibilities of a Service Writer or Sales Associate as described in other postings. The ability to move between these roles depending on the needs of the shop at any given time.
- Learn and oversee key business administration processes including but not limited to purchasing, receiving, store management, etc..
- Lead by example and through pacesetting.
- Engage in continuing education to stay updated on industry best practices and new technologies.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative work culture.
- Other tasks and responsibilities as required to fulfill FCW's vision of being Milwaukee's most beloved bike shop.
Required Skills and Experience
- A passion for bikes.
- Retail sales experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on collaboration and customer service.
- A demonstrable knowledge of major bike components, accessories, brands and their line-ups.
- Strong knowledge of bicycle component compatibility and resources for determining the compatibility of bicycle components.
- Proficiency in diagnosing common issues on bicycles.
- Familiarity with service techniques used on high end bicycles such as suspension service, hydraulic brake bleeding, integrated internal cable routing, etc.
- Attention to detail and a dedication to delivering the highest quality customer service.

Pay: Up to $35.00 per hour
