About the Role
As a Lead Construction Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in securing heavy civil infrastructure projects by delivering precise, competitive cost projections. You will leverage your technical expertise in project analysis and bid strategy to drive successful outcomes for municipal and private development initiatives.
Responsibilities-
Analyze complex project plans, geotechnical reports, and specifications to formulate accurate cost estimates for roadway and utility infrastructure.

Execute detailed quantity take-offs for structural concrete, drainage, and underground utility scopes using Bluebeam and Excel.

Develop comprehensive bid proposals in HeavyBid, incorporating historical performance data and crew productivity metrics.

Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive quote alignment and scope clarity.

Ensure all bid submissions strictly adhere to public agency compliance standards, including DBE and EEO requirements.

Collaborate with project management teams to evaluate constructability, identify potential risks, and refine production assumptions.

Mentor junior staff members to foster technical growth and maintain high standards of estimating accuracy.

Participate in pre-bid meetings and site evaluations to strengthen our competitive positioning.

7+ years of experience in heavy civil estimating, specifically covering roadway and utility scopes.

Advanced proficiency in HeavyBid, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Excel.

Demonstrated success in managing public agency bid structures and compliance programs.

Strong analytical skills with a focus on risk mitigation and detailed project scoping.

Proven leadership experience with the ability to guide and develop estimating teams.

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

Prior experience with state-funded infrastructure projects.

Strong communication skills for effective stakeholder and vendor management.
