WISE Academy is seeking a full-time dedicated High School English Language Arts (ELA) Teacher to help students strengthen their skills in literature, writing, communication, and critical thinking.
The ideal candidate will bring strong instruction, clear classroom structure, and a genuine commitment to student growth. We require a professional, modest, and respectful presence that reflects the culture and Islamic values at WISE Academy.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with state standards and student needs.
- Teach literature, writing, grammar, research, and critical analysis.
- Support students in developing refined, purposeful written communication.
- Use varied instructional strategies and assessments to promote student learning.
- Maintain classroom behavior expectations and strong student engagement.
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback and support as needed.
- Collaborate with colleagues and communicate with students and parents.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum 3 years of ELA teaching experience at the secondary level.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Strong communication, organization, and professionalism.
- Commitment to positive school culture
Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, English Literature/Language or a related field.
- AP training/certification preferred.
- Experience with AP, honors, or college-preparatory ELA instruction.
Pay: $25.00 - $42.00 per hour
