AutoCAD Detailer – 1st Shift

We are seeking an experienced AutoCAD Detailer for a full-time, temp-to-perm opportunity. This position will be responsible for preparing structural detail drawings and civil-type layouts for a variety of precast concrete and custom construction products.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with AutoCAD experience who is looking to build a long-term career in structural and precast concrete detailing.
Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate structural detail drawings and civil-type layouts using AutoCAD.
- Create detailed drawings for a variety of structures and products, including:
- Box culverts
- Rigid frame bridges
- Arch bridges
- Footings
- Wingwalls
- Sound walls
- Box structures and vaults
- Deck slabs
- Manholes
- Custom concrete products
- Review engineering drawings, plans, specifications, and project requirements.
- Prepare and revise shop drawings and detailed layouts as needed.
- Ensure drawings accurately reflect dimensions, materials, and project specifications.
- Coordinate drawing revisions and updates throughout each project.
- Maintain organized drawing files and project documentation.
- Work with engineering, production, and project personnel to resolve drawing and design-related questions.
- Manage multiple projects while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2+ years of AutoCAD experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of drafting, dimensions, scales, and construction drawings.
- Ability to read and interpret structural and civil plans.
- Experience with concrete or precast concrete is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of 3D modeling is helpful but not required.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel is highly preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Pay Based on Experience
Pay ranges from $24.00 to $34.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
Candidates with limited relevant experience can expect to start around $24.00 per hour, while candidates with previous precast concrete experience, extensive AutoCAD experience, and strong industry knowledge may qualify for pay toward the higher end of the range, up to $34.00 per hour.
Position Details
This is a 1st-shift, on-site position working Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Remote work is not available.
The position is temp-to-perm, with the opportunity to transition into a permanent role based on performance and overall fit.
