Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Field Foreman to lead and oversee concrete and grading projects on-site, ensuring safety, quality, and timely completion. As a key leader in our construction management team, you will coordinate daily operations, manage crews, interpret technical drawings, and ensure compliance with all safety regulations. Your expertise in construction scheduling, site management, and team supervision will drive project success from start to finish. Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage construction crews on-site, ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications.
- Interpret and review construction drawings, blueprints, and technical documents to guide project execution.
- Oversee quality control measures and conduct regular inspections to maintain high standards of workmanship.
- Manage project budgets, track costs, and assist with procurement processes.
- Enforce OSHA and federal construction safety regulations by conducting safety meetings, inspections, and training sessions.
- Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and clients to resolve issues promptly and keep projects on track.
- Review contracts and manage compliance with all construction regulations while supervising site activities.
- Lead team meetings, assign tasks effectively, and motivate crews to meet project milestones while maintaining a focus on safety and quality.
Skills
- Extensive experience in heavy civil or commercial construction management with a strong background in managing teams in a construction setting.
- Skilled in blueprint reading, interpreting technical drawings, and conducting construction drawing reviews.
- Knowledge of OSHA standards, federal safety regulations, and construction site safety management practices.
- Strong management skills with the ability to supervise multiple crews effectively while maintaining high safety standards.
- Ability to interpret technical documents like contracts and technical specifications accurately.
- Excellent communication skills for managerial interactions with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and team members.
- Competence in budgeting, project scheduling, quality control procedures, and managing compliance with construction regulations.
- Should be familiar with the use of a grade laser, being able to read a tape measure, and able to square concrete forms.
