MECHANICAL ENGINEER
Polarity, Inc. (www.polarity.net), seeking mechanical engineer with 2+ years of experience in mechanical design using Solid Works or an equivalent design platform. Design tasks include creative packaging and analysis of air flow, coolant flow, thermal spread, and shock/vibration. The individual must be self-motivated and willing to do hands-on experiments and testing of mechanical assemblies. The engineer must also directly interface with customers and Polarity’s CNC machine shop. BSME degree is preferred.
Duties:
- Design and develop mechanical systems and components using CAD software
- Conduct analysis and simulations using FEA (Finite Element Analysis) and Simulink
- Create detailed mechancial drawings for manufacturing processes
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure project requirements are met
- Perform system design, fabrication, and hands-on testing
- Conduct research to stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Proven experience in mechanical design and analysis
- Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of FEA (Finite Element Analysis) and Simulink
- Familiarity with CNC machines and manufacturing processes
- Experience with system design, fabrication, and testing
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
