Busy Ophthalmology practice is looking for a full time, experienced optician/contact lens technician. Primary responsibilities include both optical and contact lens responsibilities. This includes measuring glasses, repairing glasses, supporting contact lens ordering, dispensing contact lenses, preparing patients to be seen by optometrist, ordering/maintaining inventory of contact lenses and supplies and assisting the optometrist during examinations as needed.
Experience with lensometer and training new contact lens wearers is preferred; ABO a plus.
Must be reliable, organized, independent and enjoy a fast paced environment. Great customer service skills are a must. Position requires some evenings and some Saturdays.
