Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Finish Trim Carpenter to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, finishing, and detailing interior and exterior trim components to ensure a polished, professional look on a variety of construction projects. Your expertise will help bring architectural visions to life, enhancing both functionality and aesthetic appeal. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from residential remodels to commercial builds, utilizing your craftsmanship and precision.
Duties
- Measure, cut, assemble, and install trim such as baseboards, crown molding, door casings, window casings, and custom millwork with accuracy and finesse
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure precise installation of trim components
- Use hand tools (e.g., saws, chisels, hammers) and power tools (e.g., nail guns, drills) safely and efficiently to complete tasks
- Prepare surfaces by caulking, sanding, or filling gaps to achieve a seamless finish
- Collaborate with project managers, carpenters, and other trades to coordinate installation schedules and ensure quality standards are met
- Perform restoration work including water damage repair, stucco touch-ups, or siding replacement as needed
- Assist in framing carpentry or other related tasks when required to support project completion
Requirements
- Proven experience in trim carpentry, finish carpentry, or related fields within the construction or restoration industry
- Strong knowledge of construction estimating, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and building codes
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools specific to carpentry tasks such as saws, drills, sanders, and caulking guns
- Ability to lift heavy materials safely and perform physically demanding work throughout the day
- Experience with metal stud framing, drywall finishing (plastering), flooring installation, tile laying or cabinetry is a plus
- Familiarity with construction site safety protocols and ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Additional skills such as CNC fabrication knowledge, electrical experience or plumbing are advantageous but not mandatory
