Paramedic (Per Diem) – Pediatric Dental Office

Schedule: 2–3 days per month (with the opportunity for additional days in the future)

Newport Pediatric Dentistry is seeking an experienced, dependable Paramedic to join our anesthesia team on a per diem basis. This position currently offers 2–3 days per month, with the potential for additional optional days as our surgical schedule continues to grow.
Our office provides pediatric dental treatment under general anesthesia in collaboration with board-certified anesthesiologists. We are looking for someone who is calm under pressure.
Responsibilities
- Assist the anesthesiologists during pediatric general anesthesia cases.
- Monitor patients in the recovery area under the direction of the anesthesia team.
- Observe and document vital signs, airway status, and overall patient condition during recovery.
- Be prepared to respond to medical emergencies if needed.
- Assist with safely transporting and carrying pediatric patients from the operating room to the adjacent recovery area.
- Help prepare and organize anesthesia and emergency equipment.
- Collaborate with dentists, anesthesiologists, assistants, and clinical staff to ensure safe, efficient patient care.
Qualifications
- Current Paramedic certification/licensure.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (preferred or required based on state regulations).
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to lift and safely transfer pediatric patients.
- Professional, dependable, and compassionate demeanor.
