This position is responsible for:
Serves as housing monitor; accepts and processes residents staying in lodge/shelter overnight; receives and receipts fees received from residents, if applicable; monitors the activity of residents on an assigned shift, ensuring safety, security, and compliance to house rules; maintains accurate and complete records and logs containing pertinent information; ensure that lodge/shelter is maintained in neat and proper order.
Key Responsibilities:
- Opens and closes the lodge/shelter doors at designated hours of operation, as needed.
- Monitors the activities of the lodge/shelter residents, ensuring safety and compliance with house rules; checks the security of all windows and doors; monitors and makes periodic rounds of the entire facility; records any unique situations occurring on assigned shift.
- Checks clients into the lodge/shelter; prepares and monitors client intake cards; prepares resident roster and maintains resident property records as needed.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Physical effort is required for walking, standing, lifting, and carrying light objects (less than 25 Ibs.) 5-10% of work time.
Work is performed in a lodge/shelter facility where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.
