Job Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Cafe Team Members to join our vibrant team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced café environment. Your culinary skills and ability to work efficiently will contribute to creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests while ensuring that food safety and sanitation standards are met.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of food and beverage items according to established recipes and standards.
- Operate the Aloha POS and Micros POS systems for order processing and payment transactions.
- Engage with customers, providing friendly service while upselling menu items to enhance their experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including bussing tables and ensuring sanitation standards are upheld.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
- Assist in inventory management, including receiving deliveries and stocking supplies as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during peak hours, demonstrating strong time management skills.
- Adhere to food safety guidelines and regulations throughout all food preparation processes.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a coffee shop, café, or specialty coffee environment is preferred.
- At least 1 year of café or coffee shop experience is preferred.
- Experience preparing espresso-based beverages, brewed coffee, and other specialty coffee drinks is a plus.
- Knowledge of food handling, sanitation, and food safety regulations is required.
- Familiarity with POS systems (such as Aloha, Micros, or similar) is an advantage.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to create a welcoming experience for every guest.
- Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced café environment.
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and reliability are essential.
