Essential Functions
Under general supervision, the CDL Warehouseman is responsible for loading and unloading finished goods. The CDL Warehouseman is also responsible for delivering product to customers. For the right candidate, there will be advancement opportunities.
- Loads and unloads trucks in shipping area, scanning product to place in or remove from inventory.
- Adhering to all DOT policies, safely and efficiently delivers product to customers, representing the company with professionalism.
- Maintains inventory counts for customer service within a prescribed area, using a point and scan inventory system.
- Pulls finished product from inventory and loads for shipment according to routing order, due date, and special shipping instructions. Records quantity and units sent.
- Maintains quality standards as set forth in Quality Assurance and Manufacturing Procedures Manual. Reports any conditions affecting quality standards to supervisor.
- Understands and practices all safety requirements and regulations as set forth in Corporate Safety Manual.
- Practices good housekeeping habits on forklift, truck, and in work area.
- Performs other duties as assigned. Job duties are subject to change as directed by management.
Qualifications
- High school education or equivalent.
- Class A CDL required.
- Must participate in fork truck safety course and be able to operate a fork truck.
- Basic knowledge of corrugated characteristics preferred.
- Any other combination of experience and training deemed necessary and appropriate.
