DISC Surgery Center at West Palm Beach is seeking a full-time Surgery Scheduler with Florida Workers’ Compensation and Letters of Protection (LOP) expertise to support our high-acuity, physician-led surgery center. This position will be on-site, Monday – Friday.
The Surgery Scheduler is responsible for coordinating and scheduling surgical procedures in an outpatient ambulatory surgery center. This role ensures accurate scheduling, verification of required documentation, effective communication with physicians and clinical staff, and compliance with regulatory and facility guidelines to support efficient surgical operations and high-quality patient care.
In this role you will:

Schedule outpatient surgical procedures in accordance with surgeon availability, operating room capacity, and clinical priorities

Coordinate surgery dates and times with surgeons, anesthesia providers, nursing staff, and ASC leadership

Verify receipt and completeness of required documentation

Serve as a liaison between physicians’ offices and ASC staff to ensure seamless coordination of care

Maintain and update surgery schedules in the electronic health record (EHR) or scheduling system

Understand the Workers’ Compensation and Letters of Protection workflow process in the state of Florida

Assist with front desk operations, including phone calls, patient check-ins, insurance verification, preparing medical charts, and daily administrative tasks

Provide professional and compassionate customer service to patients, families, physicians, visitors, and vendors.
To ensure success in this role, you must have:

2+ years ambulatory surgery center or hospital scheduling experience

Knowledge of state Workers Compensation and Letters of Protection
- Strong communication, organization and time management skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

High attention to detail and accuracy

Personal Injury (PI) experience is a plus, including experience working with liens and attorneys' offices.

Experience in Orthopedics and/or spine procedures a plus
Compensation Range: $25.00 - $32.00/hour
