Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented AutoCAD Drafter to join our dynamic design team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating precise technical drawings and plans that support various engineering, construction, and architectural projects. Your expertise in CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software will be essential in translating conceptual ideas into clear, detailed schematics and layouts. Responsibilities
- Develop detailed 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD and other CAD software to meet project specifications and standards.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to interpret design concepts and translate them into accurate technical schematics.
- Create construction documents, schematics, layouts, and mechanical designs for various projects across multiple industries.
- Utilize software such as SketchUp, Revit, Civil 3D, MicroStation, NavisWorks, SolidWorks, and 2D animation tools to enhance drawing quality and project visualization.
- Review existing drawings for accuracy and completeness; update plans as needed based on project revisions or client feedback.
- Assist in the preparation of construction documentation, including details for fabrication, assembly, or installation processes.
- Ensure all drawings comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and company quality protocols.
- Support project teams by providing technical drafting expertise during design development phases.
- Maintain organized CAD files and documentation for easy retrieval and version control throughout project lifecycles.
Skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential; experience with CNC programming (Komo Fanuc Controls, G Code) is helpful for crosstraining.
- Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and drafting techniques.
- Ability to create clear schematics and detailed construction drawings for diverse applications.
- Knowledge of CAD best practices including layering, annotation, dimensioning, and standardization.
- Familiarity with construction processes and building codes relevant to drafting work.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and precision in all deliverables.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and incorporate feedback efficiently.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
