Description:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Ensure The Y is attractive and clean by completing all duties listed on the daily schedule while also maintaining all equipment used or assigned to your area.

Clean and sanitize sinks, toilets, showers, restrooms, and other assigned areas of the building.

Clean and maintain floors, walls, windows, and other surfaces.
-
Keep clean and sanitize all exercise machines, large and small pieces of fitness equipment, and all areas around machines and equipment.
-
Perform sidewalk/exterior clean up, such as upkeep of the parking lot.
-
Substitute for other custodial and maintenance staff when available.
-
Perform cleaning and maintenance of whirlpools and pools as required.
-
Complete special event and meeting setup as described in the event schedule plan.
-
Report incidents and hazardous conditions to the Supervisor and Site Lead.
-
Follow Emergency Response Plan procedure.
-
Follow all OSHA rules and regulations.
-
Use chemicals safely and appropriately and ensure proper chemical bottles are labeled accurately.
-
Use ladders to reach areas that need to be serviced.
-
Attend monthly staff meetings.
-
Fill out daily logs including all supply order requests.
-
All other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
Risk Management Duties
-
Adhere to policies related to boundaries with children.
-
Attend required abuse risk management training.
-
Report suspicious and inappropriate behaviors and policy violations.
-
Follow mandated abuse reporting requirements.
-
Adhere to job-specific abuse risk management responsibilities.
Requirements:
- Must have the ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents.
- Basic knowledge of cleaning and cleaning supplies is required.

Needs to be a self-starter, team player, reliable, and have an eye for detail. \Speak and See Clearly
