Optivus is currently looking for professionals to join our team and assist us with our mission of saving lives through Proton Beam Therapy, using their skills and experience as Field Service Technicians (DAY SHIFT)
RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs scheduled Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Corrective Maintenance (CM) tasks. Facilitates front-line technical support functions as needed. Follow PM procedures and completes them accurately, and within the allotted time. Reports problems discovered in the course of the normal PM duties to the designated individuals. Performs scheduled and unscheduled CM tasks under the close supervision of the Supervising Maintenance Technician. Identifies and shares opportunities for improvement and makes contributions as part of Optivus’ ongoing process improvements.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Basic mechanical abilities and a fundamental understanding of electrical and electronics principles.
- Must possess good communication skills to accurately report system anomalies in accordance with procedures.
- Must perform accurate data entry into company databases and computerized systems including but not limited to, the maintenance database, time card program, and email communication.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- AS or technical certificate preferred
- Good troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude is essential
- 3-5 years experience in electrical and/or electro-mechanical equipment.
- Military or Medical equipment experience a plus but not required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Work at heights up to 30 feet on ladders and lifts.
- Work in confined spaces.
- Ability to lift material and equipment in excess of 50lbs.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Hospital environment including bio-hazards
- Work on and around high voltage systems
- Work with high-pressure gases and chemicals
- Workaround high vacuum systems
- Radiation environment
- Electro-magnetic field (EMI)
