Position Overview
We are seeking a Psychiatrist to provide expert psychiatric care as a 1099 independent contractor. This hybrid role offers the flexibility to see patients in-person in our Saint Clair Shores office while also supporting telehealth appointments. The position is ideal for psychiatrists who value autonomy, interdisciplinary collaboration, and building meaningful, ongoing relationships with clients.
Responsibilities
- Perform psychiatric evaluations and ongoing medication management for children, adolescents, and adults
- Coordinate care with therapists and other clinicians to ensure integrated, evidence-based treatment
- Provide crisis assessment and intervention as needed
- Maintain timely, thorough, and HIPAA-compliant documentation using EMR systems
- Participate in team consultations and clinical discussions to support comprehensive care
Qualifications
- Current Michigan medical license in psychiatry
- Board Certification in Psychiatry required
- MD, DO, or NP credentials required
- Experience treating diverse populations, including children and adults
- Strong clinical judgment and interest in long-term client care
Schedule & Work Setting
- Flexible daytime schedule; preference for morning sessions on Thursdays and Fridays
- Primarily in-person, with optional telehealth sessions
