Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Machinist to join our team. As a CNC Lathe Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating computer-controlled machines to perform precision machining on metal workpieces. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits. Job hours are 6:00 PM to 4:00 AM - Monday thru Thursday.
Duties:
- Set up and operate CNC lathe machines to produce parts according to specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and job orders
- Select and install cutting tools, attachments, and accessories on machines
- Adjust machine controls to ensure proper machining of workpieces
- Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as necessary
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments to ensure accuracy and quality
- Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve production processes
Requirements:
- Proficiency in using hand tools, materials handling equipment, and precision measuring instruments
- Strong mathematical skills for performing basic calculations and measurements
- Knowledge of quality control procedures and practices
- Mechanical knowledge of CNC lathe machines and their components
