Role Summary
We are seeking a driven, self-starting Corporate Partnerships Consultant to design and execute our employer partnership strategy while securing internship hiring commitments for the internXL platform. Operating effectively in a high-growth, non-profit startup environment, this proactive consultant will take complete ownership of the partnership lifecycle, from strategic lead generation and cold outreach to closing agreements, tracking outcomes, and expanding internXL's partner network.
Role & Responsibilities
- Develop, refine, and execute a scalable employer partnership strategy to expand internXL’s corporate network and maximize intern hiring commitments.
- Conduct targeted market research to identify high-value corporate, non-profit, and small business prospects.
- Drive end-to-end outreach and pipeline growth through cold calls, targeted email campaigns, and strategic network activation.
- Respond to inbound inquiries, qualify prospective leads, and assess strategic fit, budget, timeline, and talent needs.
- Secure concrete hiring commitments from employer partners and establish follow-through frameworks to ensure execution.
- Work with full autonomy to manage account activity, maintain data integrity in HubSpot (or comparable CRM tools).
- Deliver monthly performance updates to leadership.
- Proactively identify friction points, troubleshoot partner challenges, and resolve complex issues with minimal oversight.
- Leverage quantitative metrics and qualitative feedback to evaluate strategy success and optimize partner retention.
- Schedule and lead pitch meetings with executive stakeholders across virtual and in-person settings.
- Stay current on industry trends, competitive platforms, and internXL’s core mission to continuously sharpen market positioning.
- Collaborate with lean internal teams to align strategic objectives and refine operational workflows.
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven track record of building and implementing successful employer partnership strategies within a fast-paced, non-profit startup environment.
- High degree of self-motivation, resourcefulness, and the ability to execute independently without close supervision.
- 7+ years of experience in business development or strategic partnerships, carrying a $2M+ quota.
- Hands-on proficiency with HubSpot (or comparable CRM tools) for pipeline tracking and account management.
- Exceptional negotiation, strategic thinking, and interpersonal skills across stakeholder groups.
- Strong analytical ability to evaluate program data, track KPIs, and create actionable executive reports.
- Comfort navigating ambiguity, managing competing priorities, and driving results in a lean organizational structure.
- Experience managing enterprise data or corporate reporting is a plus.
Compensation
This is a contract position offering a competitive base salary plus commission.
Pay: $5,500.00 - $6,500.00 per month
